About The Position

The Imaging Services Team Lead is a hospital-based role in the MRI department, providing diagnostic imaging services to inpatient and outpatient populations. The lead plans departmental workflow and employee assignments, provides functional guidance to staff, and supports a positive, service-conscious, team-oriented environment. Staff must be competent to care for patients from pediatric through geriatric populations. The anticipated schedule at launch is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, at 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week). Participation in the MRI call rotation and rotating holiday coverage are required. As this is a new facility, schedules may evolve as operational needs become clearer. The planned start date is March 2027. Orientation and training will take place before the facility opens on May 1, 2027, and may include rotations at Ball Memorial Hospital, existing Fort Wayne outpatient locations, and the new Fort Wayne hospital department.

Requirements

3–5 years of relevant experience.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Active Registered Technologist – Radiography, RT(R), status through the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT).
Radiologic Technologist license from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH).
Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when a patient's condition does not permit routine positioning.

Responsibilities

Plan workflow and employee distributions within the department.
Provide lead functions and functional guidance to staff in the Diagnostic Radiology department.
Ensure staff interact positively with patients and others and are competent to care for pediatric through geriatric patients.
Participate in the MRI call rotation.
Provide rotating holiday coverage.
Complete orientation and training, potentially including rotations at other facilities and departments.
