About The Position

Supervises the technical and non-technical activities of assigned clinical imaging service sections to ensure testing operates efficiently and effectively and complies with system and regulatory agency standards. Provides input into department policies and procedures and ensures imaging personnel maintain current knowledge of imaging techniques, procedures, and equipment operation. Helps meet departmental business, financial, customer, service-quality, and regulatory requirements, and serves as a technical resource for department personnel.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in healthcare administration or business administration.
• BLS certification.
• Four years of experience in a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively direct or supervise employees.
• Associate's degree in Radiology, CT, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine (position/subsidiary-specific qualification).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned imaging sections.
• Plan daily work schedules and assignments to ensure work is completed and reported promptly and accurately; support managers with schedules and coverage arrangements.
• Assume departmental responsibilities as needed, including when scheduled or during staffing shortages.
• Ensure testing is efficient, effective, and compliant with system and regulatory standards by monitoring turnaround times, investigating issues, implementing corrective action, monitoring inventory, and ordering supplies.
• Comply with preventive maintenance and quality-control procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to subordinates in resolving complex problems and investigate and recommend corrective actions in response to incident reports or patient complaints.
• Develop, train, and evaluate imaging staff; participate in the hiring process.
• Suggest improved work methods and ways to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and address operational problems.
• Perform other related duties as required and directed.
