About The Position
The Imaging Scheduler schedules and coordinates pediatric and adult patients for all outpatient Imaging services and procedures. The role requires learning and retaining a broad range of knowledge about examinations and making quick, independent decisions using good judgment. The scheduler responds to physicians, patients, and families with sympathy, respect, and understanding. Contacts include patients and families; referring physicians and their office staff; Radiologists; Nursing; and Imaging Modality Technologists.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working with an EMR or RIS.
Nice To Haves
- Post-high-school clerical vocational training or college coursework.
- Medical Terminology certification.
- Experience in a medical setting, preferably in imaging; scheduling experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
