About The Position

The Imaging Scheduler schedules and coordinates pediatric and adult patients for outpatient Imaging services and procedures. The role requires learning and retaining broad knowledge of examinations and making timely, independent decisions using good judgment. The scheduler provides service-oriented support, responding to physicians, patients, and families with sympathy, respect, and understanding. Contacts include patients, families, referring physicians and their office staff, Radiologists, Nursing, and Imaging Modality Technologists.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working with an EMR or RIS.

Nice To Haves

Post-high-school clerical vocational training or college coursework is preferred.
Medical Terminology certification is preferred.
Experience in a medical setting is preferred; imaging and scheduling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate pediatric and adult patients for outpatient Imaging services and procedures.

Respond to physicians, patients, and families with sympathy, respect, and understanding.
