About The Position

Southcoast Health is seeking an Imaging Assistant I at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services, or designee, the position provides patient care and support for imaging services. Duties include transporting patients, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, helping patients on and off the imaging table, and performing assigned modality-specific duties. The assistant also supports exam workflows, explains procedural delays, processes requisitions and paperwork, reviews schedules, retrieves outside images, maintains inventory and supply levels, and assists with special projects such as quality assurance and education. This is a per diem position with flexible shifts and hours, including weekend and holiday rotation. The pay range is USD $16.27–$26.28 per hour, determined based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional specialized courses or training.
Computer skills, including knowledge of hospital departmental computer systems.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
CPR certification required within 3 months.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for and sign a statement of exemption for medical or personal reasons.

One year of related work experience in a similar position is preferred.
