Imaging Assistant I
About The Position
Southcoast Health is seeking an Imaging Assistant I for Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, the position provides patient care and support for imaging procedures. Duties include transporting patients, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, assisting patients on and off the imaging table, and performing assigned modality-specific duties. The Imaging Assistant also assists with exams, explains procedure delays, processes requisitions and paperwork, reviews schedules, retrieves outside images, manages inventory and supply levels, and helps with special projects such as Quality Assurance and Education. The position is per diem, with flexible shifts and hours and a weekend and holiday rotation. The pay range is $16.27–$26.28 per hour, with the rate determined by experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional specialized courses or training.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of hospital departmental computer systems.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
- CPR certification within three months.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or obtain an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement after hire.

- One year of related work experience in a similar position is preferred.
Responsibilities
