About The Position
The Imaging Assistant assists with MRI imaging procedures under the direction of a licensed provider, supporting safe, efficient, high-quality care. The role focuses on workflow coordination, equipment readiness, and maintaining a safe MRI environment. The position is in the MRI department and requires 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist MRI technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and transport.
- Assist patients with completing appropriate questionnaires and history forms.
- Assist with documentation, patient records, and data entry.
- Gather information for upcoming MRI exams.
- Apply knowledge of MRI safety zones and screening procedures.
- Complete ARRT Imaging Assistant (MRI) clinical competency requirements within 12 months of hire.
- Reset and clean MRI suites between patients, including coil changes and room preparation.
- Support patient comfort by providing information and addressing concerns before scans.
