ID1 Yield Analysis Engineer

Micron Technology•Boise, ID

About The Position

The ID1 Yield Analysis Engineer monitors probe yields for particular product families, generates a Pareto of yield issues for the Fab, and submits Failure Analysis (FA) jobs to the ID1 YE Lab to identify failure mechanisms. The role creates reports identifying root causes of yield deviations and drives process-related changes to improve manufacturing-line yield. The engineer maintains an accurate Pareto of yield issues, identifies emerging issues by monitoring probe yields and trends, and explains gaps between target and actual yields. The role requires understanding how part operation and fabrication processes relate to probe results, selecting appropriate wafers for failure analysis, and communicating yield and FA results to relevant Fab areas along with potential courses of action.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Use Probe, Param, RDA, and Fab metrics to identify, interpret, and solve yield issues.
  • Identify appropriate wafers for failure analysis.
  • Correlate inline defectivity to yield impact.
  • Correlate inline/param data to support Cpk improvement activities.
  • Perform data analysis, including data mining and numerical correlations using P-value, Probe, and Param data.
