About The Position

Brite Nites is operating an outdoor ice rink at Utah City in Vineyard during the winter season, offering public skating and ice bumper cars. The Shift Lead runs the rink during their shift while actively working alongside the crew in the skate shack and on the ice. The position reports to Brite Nites management. This is a full-time, seasonal, hourly W-2 position paying $18–$20 per hour depending on experience, with bi-weekly pay. The season runs from Saturday, November 28, 2026, through early February 2027; the exact end date is to be determined. Two training days are scheduled during the week of November 23 before opening. The schedule is primarily evenings and weekends, with weekend and holiday availability especially important. Regular hours vary by day, and the rink has an expanded schedule during the December 21–January 2 holiday break. Christmas Eve hours are 11 a.m.–4 p.m.; the rink is closed Christmas Day. New Year's Eve hours are 11 a.m.–midnight, and New Year's Day hours are 12–5 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have experience leading a shift, crew, or team in recreation, hospitality, retail, food service, or events.
Be available evenings, weekends, and holidays through the end of the season.
Be comfortable working outdoors in winter weather for a full shift.
Be able to stand for a full shift and lift and move rink equipment.
Have reliable transportation to Vineyard.
Brite Nites may require a drug test.
