About The Position

Brite Nites is hiring seasonal attendants to operate the outdoor ice rink at Utah City in Vineyard, Utah, during the winter season. Attendants support public skating and ice bumper-car sessions, which do not run at the same time. The role focuses on safety, timely session operations, and providing a fun experience for families. The position pays $15–$17 per hour depending on experience, with bi-weekly pay. The season begins Saturday, November 28, 2026, and runs through early February 2027; the exact end date is to be determined. The position is W-2, part-time, seasonal, and hourly. Training takes place over two days during the week of November 23, before opening. The schedule is mostly evenings and weekends, with weekend and holiday availability especially important. Hours vary by day and include extended holiday-break hours. Christmas Day is closed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be available evenings, weekends, and holidays through the end of the season.
Be comfortable working outdoors in winter weather for a full shift.
Be able to stand for a full shift and lift and move rink equipment.
Have reliable transportation to Vineyard.

Nice To Haves

Experience in recreation, skating, hospitality, events, or customer service; experience is not required, and training is provided.

Responsibilities

Monitor public skating and maintain safe guest flow.
Operate ice bumper-car sessions by loading and unloading guests, giving safety briefings, and resetting cars between sessions.
Work at the skate shack, including handling rentals and returns and helping guests with skate sizing.
Help guests use skate aids and walkers.
Manage lines and answer guest questions.
Check tickets and bumper-car waivers at the entrance and gate.
Reset the ice between skating sessions.
Help put bumper cars on the ice and remove them between sessions.
Keep the rink and skate shack clean and organized.
Assist with basic nightly ice maintenance after training.
Follow safety, waiver, and emergency procedures.
