About The Position

This role involves performing lubrication and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, trenchers, rollers, scrapers, forklifts, haul trucks, water trucks, and dump trucks to ensure safe operation. The technician will maintain positive working relationships, produce high-quality work safely and productively, and provide feedback to ensure necessary resources are available. The position also requires identifying opportunities for improvement, sharing knowledge, and teaching others. A high proficiency in preventative maintenance for related equipment is expected, along with inspecting subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance, explaining deficiencies, and taking corrective action. The role emphasizes eliminating waste in areas such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and time.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
  • In-depth understanding of the operation of various types of heavy construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of oils and lubricants.
  • Ability to make mechanical repairs as necessary.
  • Ability to operate equipment to check for proper operation after service.
  • Must be able to read and understand safety and quality standards.
  • Effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat Endorsement and medical card.
  • Must be willing to travel.
