An HVAC Service Technician provides HVAC/R services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs, installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC/R systems and equipment, and assisting other skilled trades. This role may involve coordinating with supervisors and other trades, diagnosing system failures, inspecting HVAC systems, performing preventative maintenance, repairing heating and air conditioning systems, responding to emergency situations, providing customers with information on service agreements and comfort improvements, completing repairs within industry standards, collecting payments, cleaning work areas, coordinating with dispatch, maintaining vehicle stock and cleanliness, completing paperwork, and potentially working in other departments. There is also a supervisory component where technicians may be asked to assume responsibility for jobs requiring supervision of others.
