HVAC Start Up Technician
About The Position
The HVAC Start Up Technician ensures residential heating and air conditioning systems are installed correctly, tested, and operational according to company standards while providing customers with a high-quality experience. The position is in the Residential New Construction HVAC department and reports to the RNC Manager. The technician arrives at job sites at the scheduled time and location, performs initial start-ups and pressure tests for new systems, monitors system operation, interprets gauges and instruments, and adjusts controls. The role also involves informing and educating customers about issues or needs, maintaining a professional appearance and attitude, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work from ladders.
- Willingness to invest in tools used in HVAC equipment maintenance.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience at an HVAC company.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the HVAC industry.
- Universal EPA Certification.
- NATE certification.
- Possession of the tools needed for the role.
Responsibilities
