About The Position

The HVAC Service Apprentice performs field activities that support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems at customer sites. The role assists with preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration after installation, applying technical training to maintain systems. The apprentice works independently and as part of a team to help ensure customer satisfaction. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Duties may include other job-related tasks as assigned. Travel to multiple job sites may be required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a commercial HVAC mechanical support role, or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
• Electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, pay attention to detail, and solve problems.
• Ability to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and satisfactorily complete any required additional background checks.
• Adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Availability and means to report to multiple job sites as assigned.
• Ability to correctly identify all colors of color-coded cables and wires, and to use close and distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
• Ability to meet the role's physical demands, including climbing, bending, pulling, reaching overhead, standing or walking for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC trade school graduate.
• EPA or NATE certification.
• Prior military experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration after installation.
