About The Position

Lennox National Account Services (NAS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Lennox International, provides commercial HVAC maintenance and service across the United States. This entry-level opportunity is for someone looking to begin and grow a career in the HVAC industry, with ongoing training and development opportunities. The technician performs field activities supporting installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for commercial customers. Work includes assisting with preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration after installation, while using technical skills to maintain systems. Technicians work independently and as part of a team, sharing information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction and following safety measures. The role is hourly and non-exempt, with a stated annual salary range of $33,000–$41,000. Employees are not eligible for a bonus but may earn overtime for hours worked beyond 40 in a week or as otherwise required by state law. Local travel may be required, and the employee must be willing to relocate to another part of the country after completing training. Weekend and night work may occasionally be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 1 year in a mechanical support role; some hands-on HVAC experience is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and self-schedule.
Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints, driven to succeed, and able to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights, including accessing rooftops using fixed or extension ladders.
Ability to load and unload tools and equipment from a work van.
Physical ability to lift occasionally up to 75 pounds, lift to shoulder or overhead occasionally up to 25 pounds, push or pull a wheeled cart up to 150 pounds, manually tandem-lift loads up to 125 pounds, and repeatedly extend reach overhead.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends; availability for occasional weekend and night work.
Willingness to relocate to another part of the country after training is completed.
Local travel may be required.

Nice To Haves

HVAC trade school graduation is strongly preferred, with a 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance.
EPA Certification Type I and Type II or Universal is preferred.
NATE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation.
Use technical abilities to maintain HVAC systems.
Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Work safely and ensure safety measures are followed at all times.
Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units.
Complete repairs and required paperwork.
Perform other duties as assigned.
