HVAC/R Service Technician

Quantum Industrial•San Antonio, TX

About The Position

Quantum Industrial is hiring commercial HVAC/R technicians at developing and senior levels, with hiring based on capability rather than years alone. The role suits professionals who take ownership of their work and customers, diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts, understand how systems operate, and work independently without close supervision. The position offers competitive pay based on skill, medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) with company match, steady work in data centers, industrial, and mission-critical environments, ongoing training and development, and a team culture that respects technicians and avoids micromanagement. Technicians diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain commercial HVAC/R systems; work with equipment including RTUs, split systems, chillers, boilers, and refrigeration systems; and handle installations, startups, and commissioning. They communicate with customers about issues, repairs, and recommendations, document work accurately, participate in an on-call rotation, and represent the company professionally. Senior-level technicians also independently handle complex diagnostics and large or critical industrial systems, and mentor and support less experienced technicians.
