About The Position

Synergy Companies is a full-service energy management contractor specializing in residential and small commercial energy upgrade products and services. The HVAC Install Helper assists with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and performs routine checks and inspections. The role supports senior HVAC technicians and offers the opportunity to learn from their expertise. The ideal candidate has a basic mechanical understanding, strong communication skills, and an interest in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Requirements

• At least one year of residential experience as an HVAC install helper.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions and diagrams while working under time constraints.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic understanding of HVAC operations and terminology to assist with repair, installation, and maintenance tasks.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy components and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Attention to detail to complete tasks accurately and safely and identify potential problems or malfunctions.
• Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members, understand instructions, and report issues and progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing HVAC systems to required standards and timelines.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including replacing filters and cleaning systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and fixing HVAC system issues, including failures and inefficiencies.
• Help carry out routine inspections of equipment and fixtures.
• Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and standards.
• Support senior HVAC technicians and learn from their expertise.
• Help prepare job sites before and after installation or repair tasks.
