About The Position

Southern Home Services is seeking an HVAC Install Helper for C.M. Mose & Son. The role assists the HVAC Lead Install Technician with the installation, upgrades, and replacement of HVAC systems in residential properties. The helper is expected to deliver professional customer service and a seamless, high-quality client experience. The position involves assisting with installations in accordance with service standards and customer specifications, checking completed work to help prevent callbacks, and following appliance standards and occupational health and safety regulations. The helper maintains tools, parts, and the vehicle, protects customers’ property, and meets scheduled appointments and on-call hours. Work may take place in tight spaces and varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures and adverse weather. The job includes physically demanding tasks and working on ladders and scaffolds. Ability to climb ladders, access attics, navigate tight spaces and crawl spaces, drive, push, carry, pull, use hand tools, and perform fine detail work.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, and regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor settings, including attics and crawl spaces, and to tolerate extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.

Duct cleaning or clearing experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the HVAC Lead Install Technician with installation, upgrades, and replacement of residential HVAC systems.
Assist with HVAC system and equipment installations in accordance with service standards and customer specifications.
Check installation work to help prevent unnecessary callbacks and ensure optimal performance.
Follow appliance standards and occupational health and safety regulations.
Keep tools, parts, and the vehicle clean and organized.
Use floor savers and drop cloths to protect customers’ property and maintain a neat work area.
Meet scheduled appointments and on-call hours and complete jobs on time.
Work in tight spaces, including attics and crawl spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds.
Work safely on scaffolds and ladders at varying heights.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
