About The Position

Synergy Companies is a full-service energy management contractor specializing in residential and small commercial energy upgrade products and services. The HVAC Install Helper assists with HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and routine equipment checks and inspections. The role supports senior HVAC technicians and helps prepare job sites before and after installation or repair work. The ideal candidate has a basic mechanical understanding, communicates effectively, and is interested in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Requirements

• At least one year of residential experience as an HVAC install helper.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, maintenance, operations, and terminology.
• Ability to follow instructions and diagrams while working under time constraints.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy components and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Attention to detail to complete tasks accurately and safely and identify potential problems or malfunctions.
• Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members, understand instructions, and report issues and progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing HVAC systems to required standards and timelines.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including replacing filters and cleaning systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and fixing HVAC system issues, including failures and inefficiencies.
• Help conduct routine inspections of equipment and fixtures.
• Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and standards.
• Support senior HVAC technicians and learn from their expertise.
• Help prepare job sites before and after installation or repair tasks.
