HVAC Apprentice Technician Level 1
About The Position
Reliance is seeking a motivated HVAC Apprentice Technician Level 1 to join their team. This role is crucial for servicing HVAC equipment and accessory items for residential customers, performing general inspections of appliances, and ensuring the safe operation of new installations. The apprentice will also be responsible for educating customers on equipment benefits and proper care, maintaining company vehicles, and promoting Reliance Home Comfort products and services. Requirements
- Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Must be an installer or technician.
- Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license.
- 2 years of HVAC experience.
- Must be registered in the Apprenticeship program.
- Must be accepted by OCOT and keep up all fees, required licenses, and progress in a timely manner.
- Must be effective at HVAC lead generation and CPP enrollments.
- Must have demonstrated strong technical, customer service skills and company metrics in current and previous roles.
- Must have a valid full G Driver’s License.
- Must be able to progress through all levels of this apprenticeship in a timely manner.
- Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies (ie. Electronics/ electricity/pressures).

Responsibilities
- Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
- Professionally service HVAC equipment, accessory items, for residential customers.
- Perform general and other inspections of all types of appliances for residential users.
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor or designate.
- Adhere to all safety rules.
- Explain the benefits of newer, high efficient equipment to the customer.
- Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care, maintenance.
- Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard.
- Promote Reliance Home Comfort products and services on every call.
