About The Position

The Human Resources Risk Manager plans, coordinates, and administers the Town of Prosper’s comprehensive risk management and employee safety programs under the general direction of the Human Resources Director. The role identifies and evaluates operational exposures; manages insurance and claims activities; supports workplace injury prevention and workers’ compensation administration; and works with departments to reduce losses, protect Town assets, and promote the safe delivery of municipal services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Occupational Safety, Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, insurance or claims administration, occupational safety, or a related field.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must meet applicable Town pre-employment requirements.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in municipal or other public-sector operations.
• Professional designation such as ARM, CRM, CSP, or a related risk or safety credential.
