About The Position

Kolar Auto is seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations for a growing, locally owned Montana company with multiple locations and approximately 100 employees. The role supports employees and helps maintain a positive, professional, and productive workplace. The HR Manager works with ownership and management across all locations and contributes to company culture and organizational growth. The position is based in Helena, Montana. Compensation is DOE. Requirements

Previous experience in Human Resources.
Strong understanding of employment laws, payroll, and benefits administration.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support employees across several locations.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Paychex Flex or similar HR/payroll software.

Responsibilities

Oversee employee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding.
Manage payroll processes, employee benefits, and personnel records.
Administer employee health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and other benefits.
Ensure compliance with federal and Montana employment laws and regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain company policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
Handle employee relations, workplace concerns, and disciplinary matters professionally and confidentially.
Coordinate employee training, performance evaluations, and development.
Work closely with ownership and management across all locations.
Oversee HR reporting, documentation, and compliance requirements.
