About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources department, reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Operations. This position plays a key role in supporting HR project management, HRIS administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee data management, and day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to maintaining confidentiality while providing a positive experience for employees and candidates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in human resources or a related field, with experience relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and organizational information with discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively.
  • Comfortable working with HRIS and other computer-based systems.
  • Accessibility to a vehicle is required.
  • Act 33/34 clearances are required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, forms, tools, workflows, and processes.
  • Assist with organizational HR initiatives and special projects from planning through implementation.
  • Conduct research and provide administrative support for HR programs and initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR efficiency, processes, and the employee experience.
  • Develop and maintain HR forms, templates, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, interview coordination, candidate communications, and hiring documentation.
  • Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background screenings and drug testing.
  • Set up new hires in the HRIS, payroll, performance management, and other applicable systems.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Process employee data changes, including hires, promotions, transfers, wage changes, and separations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data across HR systems.
  • Administer and maintain HRIS, onboarding, and performance management systems.
  • Assist with system updates, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of new system features and processes.
  • Support performance management activities, including evaluation cycles, forms, stay interviews, and related reporting.
  • Monitor system workflows and ensure HR processes are completed accurately and timely.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports for leadership.
  • Assist with audits to ensure accuracy and consistency across HR systems.
  • Maintain HR tracking tools and databases.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, or data concerns and communicate them to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential personnel records and documentation.
  • Assist with employment documentation, reporting, and compliance-related activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department as needed.
  • Perform other HR projects and duties as assigned.
  • Provide backup support for training administration and coordination during staff absences or as assigned.
  • Assist with scheduling training sessions, maintaining attendance records, updating training documentation, and distributing training materials.
  • Provide backup support for the Learning Management System (LMS), including assigning training, updating records, and running completion reports.
  • Assist with maintaining training materials, calendars, and required training documentation.
  • Support training compliance tracking, reporting, and follow-up on outstanding requirements.
  • Perform other training-related administrative duties to ensure continuity of the organization's training functions.
