About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor to Head Office leaders, providing guidance and support across all areas of human resources. The HRBP partners closely with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational objectives, enhance leadership effectiveness, foster employee engagement, and drive organizational performance. Acting as a trusted advisor, the HRBP provides expertise in employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, organizational design, change management, performance management, and employee development. The role works collaboratively with HR Shared Services, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and business stakeholders to deliver integrated HR solutions that support the company's growth and evolving business needs. Our department is undergoing an HR transformation and is looking for an individual with proven experience in participating in such initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience supporting corporate or Head Office client groups.
  • Bilingual (French and English) with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, investigations, leadership coaching, and organizational consulting.
  • Strong business acumen, influencing skills, and ability to build trusted partnerships with leaders at all levels.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, or actively working toward certification, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) with particular focus on Excel -being an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Head Office leaders to understand business objectives and develop people strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and organizational effectiveness.
  • Advise leaders on organizational structure, team effectiveness, and change management initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant resolution of workplace issues. Partner with Legal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Lead and support workplace investigations involving Head Office employees.
  • Coach leaders on performance management practices, including goal setting, feedback, performance improvement plans, corrective action, and employee development plans.
  • Identify trends and recommend proactive solutions to mitigate risk and improve employee experience.
  • Partner with leaders to identify talent needs, development opportunities, and succession plans.
  • Coach leaders on effective people management practices and leadership effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to support leadership development initiatives and training programs.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding employee growth, career development, and retention strategies.
  • Support the execution of the annual Talent & Performance Cycle, including goal setting, performance and compensation reviews across the Head Office.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and action planning activities.
  • Drive change management efforts related to the HR transformation initiatives.
