About The Position

The Administrative Services Division of the Alaska Department of Law is recruiting for a Human Resource Technician 2 located in either Juneau or Anchorage. This position will be responsible for the recruitment services of the Department of Law. This position will ensure all aspects of recruitment are done in accordance with Federal and State law and regulation, as well as any applicable collective bargaining agreements and State of Alaska policies and procedures. Additionally, they will post all positions to Workplace Alaska and provide approval of job offers.

Requirements

Six months of entry technical level experience in human resource work equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.
Graduation from high school or the equivalent and one year of advanced clerical experience.
One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours from an accredited college or university equals one year) in any field.
Knowledge of hiring, classification, benefits, labor relations, negotiation, and Federal, state, and local employment regulations
Knowledge of HR concepts, principles, and practices related to identifying, attracting, and selecting individuals and placing them into positions to address changing organizational needs.
Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
