About The Position

Minneapolis Golf Club is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Human Resources Coordinator coordinates the implementation of services, policies, and programs, through the Controller; reports to the Controller, and assists and advises MGC managers about Human Resources issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources
• Competence in various Human Resources functional areas; recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and organizational development
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources
• Ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional manner
• Demonstrates an elevated level of judgment and discretion
• Self-starter, with a "let's get things done" attitude
• Must possess a high sense of urgency, initiative, and common sense
• Must act in a professional and courteous manner, and demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, prioritizing and organizing workload to meet deadlines
• Strong ability to multi-task and work well in an environment subject to changing priorities and demands
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player with a positive attitude
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline is required

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification

• Employment and compliance, regulatory concerns and reporting
• Employee orientation, development, and training
• Policy development and documentation

• Manage employee safety, welfare, wellness and health programs
• Manage LOA processes and documentation and communication
• HRIS systems implementation and maintenance of benefit databases
• Leads talent acquisition initiatives and recruiting
• Regular updates to employee handbook with aid of legal council
• Directs and administers team programs and activities
• Assists in managing and resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
