About The Position

This position provides high-level administrative and technical support to the Human Resources Director, as well as program support to all functional areas within the Human Resource Department. It involves ongoing inventory management and maintaining archive management in accordance with the Library of Virginia standards. The role also provides administration and technical support for VSP background checks, DMV record checks, drug testing, and Central Registry search programs. Additionally, this position coordinates special events for PGH, such as Service Awards and Recognition Programs, and collaborates with Human Resource and Training Department staff to ensure a positive culture and effective customer service for all internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Proficient in Data Entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience working in Human Resources
  • Advanced coursework in Human Resources or related field

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative and technical support to the Human Resources Director.
  • Provide program support to all functional areas within the Human Resource Department.
  • Manage inventory and maintain archive management in accordance with the Library of Virginia standards.
  • Provide administration and technical support for VSP background check, DMV record check, drug testing, and Central Registry search programs.
  • Coordinate special events for PGH, including Service Awards and Recognition Programs.
  • Collaborate with Human Resource and Training Department staff to ensure a positive culture and effective customer service.
  • Communicate effectively orally, in writing, and electronically.
  • Assess and prioritize tasks and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely on matters such as scheduling interviews, pre-employment process, hiring dates, compensation, and benefit administration deadlines.
  • Perform fingerprint activities and conduct oral alcohol/drug screens.
