About The Position

Requirements

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to managers on how to apply and interpret labor contracts and related agreements
  • Review concerns such as policy violations, conduct issues, and attendance problems; and prepare reports with findings
  • Analyze disciplinary requests, prepare notices, and help lead pre-disciplinary conferences
  • Examine grievances, gather information, conduct hearings, and help negotiate resolutions
  • Manage the agency safety and health program and offer guidance on accident prevention and safety practices
  • Assess reported incidents, investigate concerns, and recommend steps to reduce future risks
