About The Position

This course explores the nexus between social justice and health. How do various social, economic and environmental influences impact health? How can addressing inequities relating to issues such as socioeconomic status, race, gender, social support, food security and living and working conditions, improve population health?

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree with a disciplinary focus in social determinants of health or social science in health or medicine.
  • Previous university teaching experience.
  • Refereed publications in the area.

Responsibilities

  • Teach HS200 BR: Social Determinants of Health course.
  • Outline relevant qualifications and articulate how work and academic experience enhances ability to teach the course on the Candidate Application Form (CAF).
  • Submit CV (Maximum of 10 pages, with 12-point font and 2.54 cm margins).
  • Submit Candidate Application Form (CAF).
  • For external applicants, submit verification of highest degree and contact information for referees.
  • Optional: Submit Teaching Dossier and/or relevant supplementary documentation (Maximum of 25 pages in total, with 12-point font and 2.54 cm margins).
