About The Position

An exploration of how artists and designers create meaning through interactivity. Drawing on a wide range of artifacts, from the design of everyday objects like doors and ovens to expressive media such as interactive films, comics, and games, students will learn how interactivity can be leveraged to convey messages and meanings. The class incorporates hands-on tutorials, demonstrations, lectures, discussions, and critiques.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or diploma related to the study of games, interactive art and design, and/or User Experience Design.
  • CV (Maximum of 10 pages, with 12-point font and 2.54 cm margins).
  • Candidate Application Form (CAF) outlining relevant qualifications and how work/academic experience enhances ability to teach the course.
  • For External Applicants: Names and Contact Information for Referees, Evidence of Good Teaching, Verification of highest degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience instructing/mentoring students/learners in the design of and/or analysis of games as a form of interactive communication/argumentation.
