About The Position

PROENERGY is an engineering, R&D, and manufacturing powerhouse that addresses every need for fast-start power generation. The company delivers innovative aeroderivative solutions for challenging energy needs. PROENERGY is investing over $1 billion through 2028 in infrastructure, with significant expansions in Sedalia, Missouri, and Houston, Texas, alongside offices in Kansas City and worldwide service centers. This role is an 8-week summer program for a motivated HR Intern to join the PROENERGY HR team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Enrollment as a rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program or a current graduate student.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional candidate outreach and internal presentations.
  • Proficiency in office productivity software (specifically spreadsheets and presentation tools) and a high level of comfort learning new software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with total discretion.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Previous internship or office experience in a customer-facing or administrative role.

Responsibilities

  • Post jobs, screen resumes, and schedule interviews.
  • Assist with new hires and orientation process.
  • Maintain digital files and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct internal process audits.
  • Support internal events and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Research and present a solution for a specific HR challenge.
