About The Position

Overlake is seeking an HR Business Partner to provide strategic HR consultation and ongoing support to leaders and employees in assigned clinical and non-clinical hospital departments. The role works closely with a team of HR Business Partners and the HR Director. Healthcare experience is not required, but the ideal candidate has a strong labor relations background and deep legal expertise.

Requirements

• At least three years of progressively responsible experience as an HR Business Partner, employee and/or labor relations generalist, or in another role demonstrating a solid understanding of HR fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proven ability to gather, synthesize, analyze, and report employee data.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree or JD.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
• Experience in a unionized healthcare setting.
• Advanced HR system experience; Dimensions/Kronos and/or Workday experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach leaders on hiring, performance management, team building, change management, and compliance issues.
• Provide consultation on matters related to the nursing union contract.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on HR trends.
• Evaluate requests for reasonable accommodations.
• Resolve employee concerns, including formal grievances.
• Lead employee investigations.
• Participate on the bargaining team during labor negotiations.
