The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) at the Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Human Resource Assistant. In this role, you will collaborate with the HR Specialist and support the Employee and Labor Relations (ER/LR) section within the Human Resources department.

Responsibilities

Support the HR team by posting job openings and managing recruitment ads across various platforms.
Maintain and update job openings in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accuracy.
Assist managers with recruiting tools and processes to streamline hiring efforts.
Coordinate and participate in job fairs and other hiring events to attract top talent.
Handle administrative tasks, including background checks and reference verifications.
Create reports, letters, and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Perform and adapt to additional responsibilities as needed.
