About The Position

The HR Administrator will provide quality, respectful, courteous service to all individuals served. An overview of responsibilities includes but is not limited to overseeing recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and various HR related tasks for all programs within the agency.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Experience in human resources or other related work.
  • Experience working with the public and community partners.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and computer-based activities.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadline requirements.
  • Must be able to travel locally and/or overnight.
  • Requires analytical ability and sound judgement.
  • Appreciation for the mission of Community Action.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and often high-stress environment, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to workload changes.
  • Above average oral, reading and writing skills to accurately operate a computer, perform necessary documentation, and effectively communicate with staff, clients, customers, business partners, other departments, and visitors.
  • Ability to lift/carry 40 lbs.
  • Able to push, pull, carry, lift, bend, twist, reach, sit, and stand for lengthy periods of time and ability to walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must pass pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR related functions

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the filling of all Agency job openings including those filled through internal promotion or transfer, or outside hiring.
  • Assure full compliance with Agency and Labor Contract job posting procedures.
  • Coordinates all interviews and communicates with successful and unsuccessful applicants, as required.
  • Assure that Human Resources documentation is accurate and complete, including that associated with staffing, labor contract administration, internal or external complaints, and related matters.
  • Assure that all employee files are complete and up to date.
  • Maintain up to date job descriptions on all Agency positions, updating them as changes occur.
  • Develop and manage the CAC Safety Program, with an emphasis on preventing employee injuries and reducing Workers’ Compensation costs.
  • Responsible for completing required reports related to human resources for the Agency.
  • Oversee the administration of Employee Benefit Programs including Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Programs.
  • Coordinate and plan board and staff events and meetings.
  • Coordinate and attend community outreach events.
  • Lead employee professional development and wellness initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with program directors and managers to support staffing and personnel needs.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Finance Director as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
