The Housing Program Analyst maintains a caseload of Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) participants and determines eligibility for housing assistance programs. Duties include interviewing and certifying applicants at initial intake and recertification for the Virginia State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP) and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) programs; calculating household income, assets, allowable expenses, family size, and rent amounts payable to landlords; and processing housing assistance and tenant rent payments. The analyst consults with prospective rental families about securing housing in the private market and negotiates with landlords. The position also involves case management, accurate documentation, participant briefings and certification meetings, responding to emails and phone calls, and working with internal and external partners to track progress and address barriers. This is a grant-funded position and may be eligible for telework as determined by the Director and Supervisor; it may return to an in-office schedule if business needs change. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, either 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., for 37.5 hours per week.
