Part Time Overnight Houseperson - Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel
About The Position
Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel, a Colwen Hotels property, is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented part-time overnight Houseperson. The role maintains the cleanliness and appearance of hotel public areas and assists the Housekeeping team by stocking and delivering supplies. The Houseperson manages a variety of daily tasks to support guest service and smooth hotel operations. The position includes cleaning public, exterior, and back-of-house areas; assisting with laundry and guest-room requests; supporting room attendants; and helping prepare function and meeting rooms. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Receive assignments or a shift checklist from the Manager on Duty (MOD) and prioritize tasks.
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
- Check and replenish cleaning-cart supplies and transport the cart to assigned work areas.
- Clean and maintain hotel exterior areas, including sidewalks, awning poles, signage, and the entrance.
- Deep-clean assigned hotel areas, including carpets, windows, light fixtures, and guest elevators.
- Clean and maintain back-of-house areas, including the employee break room, executive offices, hotel laundry area, and employee restroom.
- Dust and polish furniture and remove marks or stains from walls and furnishings.
- Remove trash, dirty linens, towels, and room-service items from public areas.
- Vacuum carpets and clean floors.
- Deliver requested items to guest rooms.
- Ensure soiled linens are laundered, including loading washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels as needed.
- Clean guest rooms on occasion.
- Notify the maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
- Clean and set up function and meeting rooms according to function sheets.
- Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport trash to the dumpster.
- Take found items to the designated lost-and-found area.
- Provide support to room attendants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
