About The Position

The Banquet Houseperson follows the banquet event order (BEO) and provides guests with warm, enthusiastic service. The role maintains banquet areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition and helps ensure guest satisfaction through exceptional food, beverage, and guest service in accordance with StepStone and hotel standards. The Banquet Houseperson remains present in the room to greet guests upon arrival, promptly relays guest compliments or complaints to management, and submits maintenance requests for broken or damaged equipment. The role also assists staff with room setups, food service, and cleanup as needed. At the close of functions and the end of the workday, banquet rooms must be cleared and securely locked, and equipment stored in its designated area.

Requirements

Minimum lifting capacity of 75 pounds.
Minimum pulling capacity of 75 pounds.
Ability to push, bend, stoop, reach upward, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
High school education and relevant training and experience are preferred.

Provide guests with high-quality service in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
Maintain banquet areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Clear and securely lock banquet rooms at the close of functions and at the end of the workday, and store equipment in designated areas.
Be present in the room and greet guests upon arrival.
Immediately relay guest compliments or complaints to management.
Submit maintenance requests to the engineering department for broken or damaged equipment.
Assist staff with room setups, food service, and cleanup when necessary.
Maintain StepStone and hotel standards for food, beverage, and quality guest service.
Support guest satisfaction through delivery of an exceptional product.
