About The Position

The Houseperson supports the hotel’s Housekeeping Department by maintaining cleanliness, replenishing housekeeping supplies, assisting with laundry operations, and helping ensure smooth daily operations. The role includes rounds through the property, organizing linen and storage areas, responding to special requests, and supporting Room Attendants. The Houseperson also observes and reports missing items or signs of wear and tear, and assists guests by answering inquiries and providing help with a gracious demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Strip guest rooms of used linen to support Room Attendants.
• Restock housekeeping closets and carts with fresh linen, towels, and amenities.
• Organize storage areas to maintain cleanliness and accessibility.
• Assist with hotel laundry operations as needed, including sorting, folding, or transporting linen.
• Put away linen and supply orders in an organized and timely fashion.
• Support the team with special requests and heavy lifting.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of public areas.
• Make rounds through the property to ensure areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Report missing articles or signs of wear and tear.
• Answer guest inquiries and provide assistance.
