About The Position

The Banquet Houseperson supports banquet events by following the banquet event order (BEO), providing warm and enthusiastic guest service, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe banquet area. The role helps with room setups, food service, and cleanup as needed, while maintaining StepStone and hotel standards for food, beverage, and guest service. The position also includes securing banquet rooms and storing equipment at the close of functions and the workday, welcoming guests, relaying guest feedback to management, and submitting maintenance requests for damaged equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum lifting capacity of 75 pounds.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach upward, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Minimum pulling capacity of 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow details in the banquet event order (BEO).
• Provide guests with high-quality service in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
• Keep the banquet area clean, organized, and safe.
• At the close of functions and the workday, clear and securely lock banquet rooms and store equipment in its designated area.
• Be present in the room and greet guests upon arrival.
• Immediately relay guest compliments or complaints to management.
• Submit maintenance requests to the engineering department for broken or damaged equipment.
• Assist staff with room setups, food service, and cleanup when necessary.
• Maintain StepStone and hotel standards for food, beverage, and quality guest service.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through delivery of an exceptional product.
