About The Position

The Engineer assists with maintaining the hotel by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. The role includes replacing air conditioner filters and tending to air conditioners, cooling towers, and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests. The Engineer also maintains the pool area, including chemical balancing and cleaning, and supports quality guest service by responding to guest requests, complaints, or questions courteously and promptly. The position contributes to guest satisfaction through delivery of an exceptional product and employee development.

Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 70 pounds and pull at least 70 pounds.
• Ability to push, bend, stoop, reach upward, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Ability to hear, write, and type.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hotel departments and functions.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Good mathematical and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.
• CPR training and first aid training preferred.
• Additional language ability preferred.
