About The Position

The Engineer assists with maintaining the hotel by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other maintenance activities. The role also supports hotel equipment and facilities, guest service, and the pool area.

Requirements

• Minimum lifting capacity of 70 pounds.
• Ability to push, bend, stoop, reach upward, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Ability to hear, write, and type.
• Minimum pulling capacity of 70 pounds.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hotel departments and functions.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Good mathematical and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school education and relevant training and experience.
• CPR and first aid training.
• Ability to speak an additional language.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other hotel maintenance activities.
• Replace air conditioner filters.
• Tend to air conditioners, cooling towers, and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
• Maintain standards of quality guest service.
• Maintain the pool area, including chemical balancing and cleaning.
• Increase guest satisfaction by delivering an exceptional product through employee development.
• Respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
