About The Position

Alisal, a luxury 10,500-acre working ranch and resort in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country, is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Houseperson to join the Housekeeping team. This role is responsible for cleaning main rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, corridors, offices, other indoor and outdoor work areas, and housekeeping storage areas. The Houseperson also completes other projects and duties as directed and assigned.

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Desire to establish outstanding, authentic, and memorable interactions with internal and external guests.

• Ability to multitask with heightened attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organization.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on site and to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Must present proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States after an offer and before employment.
• Conditional offer is subject to a criminal background check.
• Open availability to accommodate varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean main rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, corridors, offices, indoor and outdoor work areas, and housekeeping storage areas.
• Operate vacuums, carpet extractors, carpet shampoo machines, floor waxers, buffers, pressure washers, and the trash compactor.
• Empty and clean waste baskets and trash receptacles daily; remove trash and recycling from public areas and guest rooms and place it in the trash compactor or appropriate recycling container.
• Sweep and mop floors; clean and maintain carpets and wood and tile floors.
• Clean and spot-clean upholstered furniture.
• Remove webs inside and outside assigned areas as needed or assigned.
• Clean public bathrooms and restock supplies.
• Clean walls, woodwork, doors, frames, artwork, sills, panels, and window blinds.
• Dust furniture and equipment and polish metalwork.
• Wash sidewalks and remove spots or stains.
• Wash windows, screens, and exterior walls.
• Complete other projects and duties as directed and assigned.
