About The Position

The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel’s public and guest areas, including hallways, the lobby, breakfast area, and exterior. The role also supports room cleaning when needed, maintains supplies in linen closets, handles linen and trash, and assists with luggage handling. The position is part-time at Tru by Hilton Georgetown in Georgetown, Delaware, with a listed pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

Any combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the job.

Nice To Haves

Grade school education is preferred.
Previous hotel-related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

Clean corridors, guest areas, service areas, and linen closets.
Clean rooms when needed.
Deposit linen down the chute and carry trash to the dumpster.
Stock supplies needed for linen closets.
Maintain cleanliness in public areas by vacuuming and cleaning floors, windows, tables, and chairs.
Check public restrooms for cleanliness several times daily.
Check elevators for cleanliness and polish other surfaces.
Check lights and change bulbs in public areas.
Sweep and mop service areas.
Mop vending machine areas and keep machines clean.
Assist with luggage handling.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
