About The Position
TRU by Hilton in Manchester is hiring a part-time Hotel Preventative Maintenance Tech - Houseperson. The role assists the maintenance engineer with the hotel’s building and grounds and the operation of hotel rooms to ensure they are guest ready. It also includes cleaning and maintaining guest common areas, handling janitorial duties in indoor and outdoor public spaces, and assisting the front desk with guest needs.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
Nice To Haves
- Hotel experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting, and servicing within the employee’s ability is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders to prioritize and schedule work assignments.
- Perform preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
- Clean public spaces inside and outside the hotel, including trash removal.
- Clean and maintain guest common areas.
- Assist with guest needs as they come in from the front desk.
- Assist the maintenance engineer with the hotel’s building, grounds, and room operations.
