About The Position

Nucor Buildings Group is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and performance through routine maintenance, thorough inspections, and accurate documentation. The role helps maintain production uptime, team safety, and equipment longevity. The position is based in Brigham City, Utah, and follows a continental 2-2-3 shift from noon to midnight. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic understanding of industrial mechanical systems, including bearings, belts, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery or equipment.
Willingness to work a continental 2-2-3 shift from noon to midnight.

Nice To Haves

Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or electrical systems.
One year of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs, using established checklists.
Inspect conveyors, rollers, cranes, furnaces, cooling systems, and other equipment for wear or potential issues.
Use diagnostic tools to assess equipment.
Accurately document findings, completed work, and equipment conditions in logs and digital systems.
Communicate equipment status and support smooth shift transitions in collaboration with maintenance teammates and operators.
Develop skills by learning new equipment, maintenance practices, and predictive technologies.
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
