About The Position

Homewood Suites Richmond Airport is hiring a Hotel Houseperson to help maintain the hotel’s appearance and support the housekeeping team. The role involves delivering linens and supplies, cleaning guest-room and shared-area spaces, and helping ensure the hotel feels welcoming to guests. Training is provided, and the job offers opportunities for advancement within Shamin Hotels.

The position is offered full-time or part-time, with day shifts. Weekend and holiday availability is required. The work is active and involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying items, and pushing supply carts.

Requirements

• Availability for day shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, push supply carts, and stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and good time management.
• Enjoyment of helping teammates and being friendly with guests.
• Pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and inviting.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Remove used linens, towels, and trash from guest rooms.
• Deliver fresh linens and supplies to support room attendants.
• Clean and maintain hallways, elevators, stairways, and other shared areas.
• Vacuum carpets, dust furniture and fixtures, and clean windows and surfaces.
• Empty trash containers and keep disposal areas tidy.
• Stock and organize linen closets and supply areas.
• Follow safe cleaning practices and report maintenance needs.
• Greet guests warmly and help teammates.
