About The Position

Provide excellent service to hotel guest rooms in a devoted and efficient manner. Responsible for stocking housekeeping supplies for the various housekeeping functions in the hotel, clean, and maintain the guest hallways and other hotel areas as assigned. Support and service the room attendants.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in basic computer and cell phone navigation
Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
Standing/Walking: Constantly. Often for long periods.
Crouching (Bend at knees): Frequently. Bending to vacuum and perform cleaning duties.
Bending to vacuum and perform cleaning duties
Stooping (Bend at waist): Frequently
Pushing/Pulling: Frequently. Pushing 200-pound cart.
Lifting/Carrying: Frequently. Lifting 50 lbs.

Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not necessary

Responsibilities

Delivering/carrying down and sorting linen
Special cleaning projects
Vacuuming guest corridors
Delivering guest laundry
Discarding trash from guest rooms/corridors/service landings
Room readiness
Moving furniture
Delivering glassware and other requests by supervisors or managers
Delivering guest requests and guest interaction to the Valencia standard
Constant communication with management or supervisors
Maintaining a safe environment, following hotel policies, or meeting industry compliance standards
Ensure chemicals are used according to OSHA regulations and Hotel Valencia standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
Report any unsafe conditions immediately
Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition
Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor
