About The Position

The Houseman supports hotel housekeeping operations by maintaining guest-room floors and storage closets, collecting linen and garbage from housekeeping carts, and removing dirty linen from vacant rooms. The role uses cleaning chemicals and equipment, including carpet and floor-care equipment, and may include special projects assigned by supervisors. The position requires following safety and security procedures and providing warm, professional service to guests and team members.

This is a full-time, day-position listing that typically starts at $16 per hour. The schedule is variable and may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Team members begin accruing paid time off on their first day; full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment, including carpet- and floor-care equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of guest-room floors and storage closets as needed.
• Pick up linen and garbage from housekeeping carts throughout the day.
• Remove dirty linen from vacant rooms at a minimum of 10 rooms per Room Attendant per day.
• Perform special projects assigned by supervisors.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and arrive on time in a clean uniform with required name tag, ID, and licenses, ready to work with a positive, ready-to-learn attitude.
• Greet guests and team members warmly and professionally, supporting the Family Style Service culture.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
