About The Position

The Hotel Houseman plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall ambiance of the hotel to ensure an exceptional guest experience. The position supports the housekeeping and maintenance teams by handling cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, assisting with guest requests, and maintaining public areas. The role is at Municipal Grand, a luxury independent hotel with 44 rooms, a restaurant, two bars, and a pool.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Nice To Haves

• Prior hotel or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep hallways, lobbies, and common areas clean, sanitized, and presentable.
• Deliver linens, toiletries, and amenities upon request and assist housekeeping with room preparation.
• Sort, wash, fold, and distribute linens.
• Move furniture, flip mattresses, and assist with deep-cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing.
• Set up and arrange meeting spaces or banquet areas for special events, and assist with breakdown.
• Identify and report maintenance issues to help ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests with a warm and helpful attitude.
