About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott North. The supervisor spends most of the shift inspecting guest rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met. The role also trains and onboards new department employees, and motivates staff to achieve desired results. The property has 315 guest rooms, 11,774 square feet of meeting space, and a restaurant.

Requirements

Six months of experience in a similar housekeeping position is desirable.
Engaging and caring personality.
Time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
Ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach floor corners and high places; observe conditions and detect odors; and position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 pounds in tight spaces.
Ability to operate spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
Work as a team to achieve hotel cleanliness goals.
Coordinate the day’s workflow and distribution of duties.
Inspect guest rooms according to the highest quality standards.
Hold department employees accountable for quality standards.
Supervise and train staff to maintain cleanliness standards.
Assist with inventory of linen and supplies.
Assist with completing performance evaluations.
Use judgment and experience to distribute work and assign rooms and duties to staff.
Coordinate activities with the Front Desk Supervisor and staff.
Report maintenance needs.
Ensure employees safely use and handle cleaning chemicals.
Find coverage for callouts or increased house counts.
Perform other related duties as requested by Management.
